The fifth-seeded University of Redlands Bulldogs advanced over California Lutheran University in a five-set nail-biter of a first round matchup in the SCIAC Tournament.

The host Regals rallied from a two-set deficit to force a third, then rattled off seven unanswered points facing match point from 14-6 down before the Bulldogs managed to close it out. 

Lily Kautai smacked 16 kills on a .254 hitting percentage and completed the double-double with 18 digs. Lilly Klinedinst led all players with 31 digs.

The Bulldogs will face top-seeded University of La Verne in the semifinals on Thursday.
