Homan led Pomona-Pitzer Colleges with 19 points on 57 percent shooting (2-of-3 on three-pointers) in a 73-65 season-opening win against MIT. The junior also recorded seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Jana Holley
School: California Lutheran
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Point Guard / #22
Hometown/High School: Winnetka, Calif. / Birmingham
 
Holley grabbed 12 steals to lead the California Lutheran University defense in locking down the University of Hartford and Albertus Magnus College to an average of 54.0 points per game in a pair of wins. The senior also dropped 13.5 points on 52 percent shooting, pulled down 3.0 rebounds and averaged 3.0 assists across the two season-opening victories.
