Yasukochi’s 22 points led all scorers as Occidental College defeated the University of Puget Sound, 60-58, after the Loggers had beaten a pair of other SCIAC foes. The senior shot 54 percent from the field including a 3-for-5 mark from long range and sank 5-of-6 free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

Hometown/High School: Bayside, N.Y. / St. Francis Prep
Edwards nabbed five steals and pulled down 12 defensive rebounds as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges held Oberlin College and Babson University to an average of 55.0 points per game, winning both by more than 15 points. The forward’s presence held Oberlin’s guards to just 3-for-16 shooting and helped secure the victory over Babson as a fourth-quarter defensive switch cut out a rally that had trimmed the margin to just four points.
