Marsyla and Jett Selected to CSC All-America Women's Track & Field/Cross Country

Elle Marsyla and Josephine Jett of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges women's track & field/cross country teams have earned Academic All-America Honors, as announced by the College Sports Communicators. This is the pair's first time being selected to the Academic All-America team.

Marsyla was selected to the First Team, while Jett was tabbed to the Third Team. 

In her senior year, Marsyla posted strong performances in both the cross country and track & field seasons. After winning the SCIAC cross country championship, she placed seventh at the NCAA Championship and led her team to a third-place finish. In the Spring, Marsyla won the National Championship in the 1000-meter race and was the National Runner-Up in the 5000-meter race. 

Additionally, the Woodside, CA, native was named the SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. 

An All-American in three different events this season, Jett was the National Runner-Up in the 100-meter hurdles and a First Team All-American in the 100-meter dash. She was also a Second-Team All-American in the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships. 

After posting four SCIAC Championships, Jett was named the SCIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Year.
