Elle Marsyla Earns USTFCCCA West Region Track Athlete of the Year Honor

Elle Marsyla of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges has been named the USTFCCCA West Region Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year while Glenn Stewart won Coach of the Year recognition for both the CMS men's and women's teams.

Marsyla won the 10,000 meters and finished runner-up in the 5000 meters at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships. Her winning time of 33:38.71 in the 10,000 set a meet record and moved her up to No. 5 in NCAA DIII history. Marsyla also cracked the all-time top 15 in the 5000 meters with her 16:13.26 PR at the APU Franson Last Chance in early May.

Stewart led the Athenas to the team title at the SCIAC Outdoor Championships and a season-long No. 1 ranking in the West Region. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps had two runner-up finishes at the 2026 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships and earned 26 All-Region honors, including five regional leaders.

Stewart led the Stags to the team title at the SCIAC Outdoor Championships and a season-long No. 1 ranking in the West Region. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps earned 19 All-Region honors, including four regional leaders, while compiling nine entries to the 2026 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships.
