Athenas Repeat as Women’s Track & Field Champions

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges Athenas repeated as women's track & field champions at the 2026 SCIAC Championship.

The Athenas totaled a whopping 262.5 points to finish well clear of second-place Chapman University, which accumulated 179.5 points for a third consecutive runner-up finish. The University of Redlands just edged out Occidental College for third, 111-109. Pomona-Pitzer Colleges landed in fifth place with 77 points ahead of California Lutheran University (32.5), Caltech (26.5), the University of La Verne (18) and Whittier College (1).

Triple Jump: Ella Bowers (PP), 11.46m
Pole Vault: Madeline Seifert (CMS), 3.63m
Discus: Emily Ortiz (CMS), 41.54m
High Jump: Mari Evonuk (UR), 1.62m
Heptathlon: Elisabeth Eichinger (UR), 4767 - new meet record
4x100m Relay: CMS (Young, Jett, Creighton, Velichala), 47.38
1500m: Riley Capuano (CMS), 4:32.17
100h: Josephine Jett (CMS), 13.78 - tied SCIAC record, new meet record
400m: Phoebe Ogden (OXY), 56.73
100m: Josephine Jett (CMS), 11.74
800m: Delphine Way (OXY), 2:15.35
400h: Shriya Velichala (CMS), 1:03.36
200m: Josephine Jett (CMS), 24.03 - new meet record
5k: Elle Marsyla (CMS), 17:31.41
4x400m Relay: Occidental (Vena, Ogden, Cottell, Way), 3:52.64
