Top-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges survived an elimination game against the University of Redlands, 12-1, to remain in the 2026 SCIAC Baseball Tournament mix.

The Stags got on the board first in the third inning and then broke the game open with a five-run fourth, eventually ending the contest early in the eighth inning on a walk-off two-run home run to make it three on the day by Blaise Hehir who finished the day 3-for-4 with six RBI and three runs scored. First-year Tegin Maloney tossed 7.0 innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts and just three hits allowed with two walks.
