LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 2026 All-American teams with Katlyn Gandara (Whittier, CA) making the Second Team as a Utility/Pitcher for the University of Redlands.

This is the 13th All-American selection in program history. She is the fourth player to earn it multiple times joining AJ Carrasco (2014, 2016), Amanda Lievanos (2011-12), and Chela Castano (1987, 1990). Gandara's first selection was in 2024 when she also made the Second Team.
As a senior she is hitting .444, which is the 11th highest mark in single-season program history. Her .520 on-base percentage is ninth. Other single-season marks include her 60 hits (15th), 56 runs batted in (2nd), and 17 doubles (2nd).
In the circle she has a 2.47 earned run average (ERA) across 144.2 innings. She has appeared in 31 games with 29 starts, third most in single-season history. Her 22 wins are also third most in program history.
Adding to her hitting and pitching success, Gandara also played in the field as a position player at first base, recording a total of 80 putouts with 36 assists and only two errors for a .983 fielding percentage.
Gandara and the Bulldogs begin their run at the NCAA Division III Women's College World Series (WCWS) tomorrow, Thursday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. pacific time in Virginia against the No. 4 seed Linfield University. Full details can be found on the softball schedule page at goredlands.com.
