No. 2 University of Redlands defeated No. 9 Simpson College, 6-3, to advance to the final series of the 2026 NCAA Division III Softball Women's College World Series.
Box Score
In contrast to the two previous games in which Redlands battled through the early innings, the Bulldogs jumped out to a five-run lead in the second inning and had the luxury of playing from ahead.
Avery Provenzano nearly cleared the bases with a two-RBI double to score the first runs, after which
Adyson Kim scored on a wild pitch and back-to-back RBI singles by
Brooklyn Bard and
Leila Gomez at the top of the order capped the outburst. That allowed
Paige Ellinger to go 4.0 innings working around four hits and four walks to surrender just two runs before giving way to
Caitlyn Griffith and
Katlyn Gandara, who secured the save with two clean frames.
Redlands will face the winner between No. 8 Belhaven University from Mississippi and No. 4 Trine University of Indiana in the final series beginning on Tuesday, June 2.
