The Pomona-Pitzer Colleges 200-yard freestyle relay team set a new meet record to close out the night as Pomona-Pitzer Colleges vaulted into first place through the third day of the 2026 SCIAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships.
Casey Jacobs,
Jonathan Cong,
Diego Hodge and
Adrian Clement combined to clock a 1:20.72 as the Sagehens jumped into first place by 114.5 points over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges. Chapman University sits in third with 430.5 points, followed by Caltech (299.5), Whittier College (238.5), California Lutheran University (207), Occidental College (173), the University of Redlands (139) and the University of La Verne (57).
The Sagehens opened the night with a 1-2 finish in the 100 Fly courtesy of rookie
Nathan Xu (48.07) and
Diego Hodge (48.19) while Caltech's
Zachary Pestrikov earned the bronze medal. Whittier picked up big points in the 400 IM as
Honza Zika and
Jake M.Kiss won gold and bronze, respectively with Zika turning in a dominant display that saw the junior transfer surge from fifth at the halfway mark, out-splitting the field by nearly two seconds on the breaststroke leg to clock a 3:54.79.
Oxy's
Connor Grant successfully defended the 200 Free title out of lane 2, with the sophomore bookending a 1:39.07 with the fastest first 50 split and making up a .11 deficit on the final leg.
Henry Cannon and first-year
Quinn Delaney also made the podium for the Sagehens with just .21 separating first from third place.
Another Sagehen rookie,
Nate Levy, claimed the 100 Breast title in 54.97 ahead of former champion
Evan Deedy of CMS and fellow Stag
Kenny Eckel. Hodge then teamed with Xu and
Parker Ewers to sweep the 100 Back podium before Chapman and CMS rounded out the 200 Free Relay podium.
