MacLennan bagged a brace to account for both Pomona-Pitzer Colleges goals in a 2-1 win at Occidental College. The junior also put pressure on California Lutheran University with two shots in a scoreless draw earlier in the week to give the Sagehens four points as SCIAC play began.

Name: Shaw Nishizawa
School: California Lutheran
Year: First-year
Position/Number: Defender / #29
Hometown/High School: Maple Valley, Wash. / Tahoma Senior
 
Nishizawa played all 180 minutes for California Lutheran University in a scoreless draw at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and 2-1 victory at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges. The rookie also got up the field for a shot in each game as the Kingsmen opened SCIAC netted four away points to open SCIAC play.
