Coop scored three key goals as Whittier College garnered another four points to move into second place in the SCIAC standings. The junior bagged a brace that included the eventual game-winner against California Lutheran University before halving an early deficit in an eventual 3-3 tie at the University of Redlands.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Ben Bacdayan
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Defensive Midfielder / #12
Hometown/High School: Pittsburgh, Pa. / Upper St. Clair
 
Bacdayan helped nab at point for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at Occidental College after registering a key win over Caltech. The senior chipped in a go-ahead goal before preserving a 3-3 tie with a sliding clearance off the goal line at Occidental College. Bacdayan’s emergence as a regular starter has coincided with CMS collecting eight points in their last five games to sit just one point outside the SCIAC Tournament picture.
