The Panthers had another solid year on the gridiron in what turned out to be the final season for Coach Bob Owens with four All-Region selections leading the way. Chapman ended the season 7-3 with a second consecutive run to the SCIAC Championship game after winning the Surf Division and return D3football.com preseason All-American defensive back
Jacob Gaudi with the team now under the tutelage of interim head coach
Casey Shine. Two offensive linemen,
Gavin Scott (First Team All-SCIAC) and
Lane Forti (Second Team) are back to block for Second Team running back
Tyler Pacheco. Linebacker
Tate Zimmerman will rejoin Gaudi on the defensive side of the ball after garnering Second Team recognition last year.
Chapman opens the season on Saturday, Sept. 6 hosting No. 6 Hardin-Simmons University at 7 p.m.
