Junior Jacob Gaudi has been selected as a Preseason All-American by D3football.com. Gaudi was recognized as the Third Team safety.

Lat season, Gaudi was an All-SCIAC and All-Region selection following a standout sophomore campaign. He led the team with four interceptions and ranked second with 45 total tackles. All four of his interceptions came in the first five games of the season with picks against Pacific, Redlands, Cal Lutheran and CMS. His last interception at CMS was returned all the way down to the one yard line to set up a Chapman touchdown two plays later

Gaudi also set a career-high with nine tackles in the SCIAC Championship game at Pomona-Pitzer. He helped lead a defense that allowed just 20.5 points and 275.9 yards per game in 2024.

He is Chapman's first Preseason All-American selection from D3football.com since Dillon Keefe earned the recognition prior to the 2021 season.

The Panthers open the season on Sep. 6 when they host No. 6 Hardin-Simmons at 7 p.m.
