Nesbit finished his CMS football career as a four-year starter on the offensive line, playing both center and guard during his career. His unsung work on the line helped pave the way for running back Justin Edwards to re-write the CMS record books with three 1000-yard, and four 10-touchdown seasons. Edwards broke the CMS career rushing touchdown record by 17 (with 55) and the career rushing record by almost 300 with 4314 yards. On Senior Day, Nesbit and his fellow seniors on the offensive line helped Edwards run for a program-record 324 yards in a 41-24 win over Cal Lutheran, breaking the old record by 50. In addition to the success paving the way for Edwards, the offensive line allowed only 43 sacks in 39 games during Nesbit’s career.
The Stags finished the year 8-2 for the second straight year, and Nesbit was part of the winningest class in program history with 30 victories over the past four seasons, passing the old mark of 25. The eight wins tied a program record first set in 1970 and matched in 1986 and then again in 2023 and 2024.
Nesbit attends Claremont McKenna, while majoring in computer science through Harvey Mudd’s program. He has held a pair of software internships at Amazon over the last two summers, working on the Kiva Picking Optimization team, which is responsible for assigning pick work for Amazon robots. He has also worked as a grutor at Harvey Mudd, assisting and tutoring students in introductory computer science classes.
