CMS Retains All-Sports Trophy, Sagehens Claim Women's Crown

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges has edged out Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, 168-164.5, for the 2024-25 SCIAC All-Sports Trophy.

The Stags topped the men’s standings by 11.5 points while the Sagehens beat out the Athenas, 93-86, for the women’s title. The University of Redlands returned to third place with 128.5 points, followed by Chapman University in fourth (115.5), California Lutheran University (110), Occidental College (75.5), the University of La Verne (69), Whittier College (57.5) and Caltech (53.5).
 
CMS men’s teams won three of four possible SCIAC regular season titles in golf, tennis and track & field with all 10 teams having made the SCIAC Tournament field this academic year. The Athenas also claimed a conference championship in track & field with each of golf, lacrosse, tennis and water polo placing second and softball finishing fourth.
 
The Sagehens claimed women’s league titles in golf, lacrosse, tennis and water polo to also achieve the feat of every squad finishing among the top-four this season. La Verne baseball and Redlands softball were the only two other programs to claim a conference regular season title this spring.
