Offensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Andrew Latu
School: Chapman
Year: Junior
Position/Number: Running Back / #28
Hometown/High School: Redwood City, Calif. / Sacred Heart
 
Latu punched in a trifecta of goal-line touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in double overtime, as RV Chapman University clinched a spot in the SCIAC Championship game with a 37-31 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges. A long run of 20 yards in the first OT set up the Panthers on 1st-and-Goal to force a second period.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Jomar Brown
School: La Verne
Year: Junior
Position/Number: Cornerback / #1
Hometown/High School: Hayward, Calif. / Tennyson
 
Brown picked off two passes, made four tackles and broke up a pass as the University of La Verne earned its first conference win since the 2023 finale in a 26-8 victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
 
Special Teams Athlete of the Week
Name: Mark Mitchell III
School: Redlands
Year: First-year
Position/Number: Running Back / #20
Hometown/High School: Fontana, Calif. / Summit
 
Mitchell III handled both kick and punt return duties for the University of Redlands in a 30-24 double overtime victory over California Lutheran University where field position was crucial with the game tied 3-3 at halftime. The rookie generated 52 yards on four punt returns with a long of 15 yards and totaled 56 yards on three kickoff returns in addition to gaining 40 yards rushing.
