Name: Tyler Pacheco

Hometown/High School: Hollister, Calif. / San Benito
 
Pacheco led Chapman University to a 4-0 start halfway through SCIAC play with a 35-25 win over previously undefeated California Lutheran University. The senior threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns through the air while also rushing for a third score and 78 net yards despite losing nine yards on two sacks.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Adrian Silva
School: Redlands
Year: Junior
Position/Number: Linebacker / #4
Hometown/High School: Bell Gardens, Calif. / Bell Gardens
 
Silva and the University of Redlands defense held Pomona-Pitzer Colleges to just 179 yards of total offense, including -23 yards rushing in a narrow 16-14 victory. The junior linebacker recorded four tackles with two for a loss, one of which was a sack.
 
Special Teams Athlete of the Week
Name: Samuel Brewer
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Kicker/Punter / #17
Hometown/High School: Crown Point, Ind. / Crown Point
 
Brewer drilled a 20-yard field goal from the side hash to tie the game for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges to set up an eventual 22-19 overtime win against the University of La Verne. The senior also averaged 45.2 yards on six punts with a long of 49 yards that landed out of bounds at the ULV 9-yard line.
