As a student-athlete and Head Coach, Ryan Hall elevated the University of Redlands Men's Water Polo program with his various contributions.  Across his four years, the teams compiled two SCIAC titles and 92 victories, which included a 38-2 record within conference action.

Ryan proved to be the top player in the conference in 2006 as he was named the SCIAC Player of the Year.  During his time with the Bulldogs, he became a four-time First-Team All-SCIAC honoree, and a four-time First-Team Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-American.  Furthermore, he earned a spot on the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) First Team on three occasions and received All-WWPA Tournament recognition.
In the University of Redlands record books, Ryan sits ninth in single-season drawn exclusions (53).  Among the career records, he places fourth in steals (200) and fifth in goals scored (194) and drawn exclusions (160).

In his second complete season with the Maroon and Grey as the Head Men's Water Polo Coach, he put together a record-setting 2022 season by qualifying for the SCIAC Tournament as the No. 5 seed before upsetting No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer to earn a spot in the USA Water Polo Collegiate Division III National Championships.  The Bulldogs went on to upset No. 2 Johns Hopkins University and then No. 1 California Lutheran University to win the program's first Division III Collegiate National Championship.
