Steven Csaposs ‘21 recorded one of the most impressive careers in Caltech Men’s Water Polo history. The two-time All-SCIAC honoree competed in three stellar seasons of play with no senior season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In his three years of service, the standout played a total of 58 games, scoring 155 total goals with 22 assists to go with 93 steals and 86 drawn exclusions. He graduated with a career shooting percentage of .426.  

Csaposs played a major role in Caltech’s historic 2017 campaign as he helped lead the squad to its first conference win in 16 years en route to an eight-win season. The talented center played a significant role in his subsequent two years, helping the team to six wins in 2018 and again in 2019. 

In all three of his seasons, the star finished top-three in the conference in goals per game, ranking third in 2017 (2.7/g), second in 2018 (2.7/g) and third in 2019 (2.6/g). He ranked second among SCIAC players in steals per game in 2018 (1.8/g); in 2019 he ranked third (1.6/g). 

The star received Second Team All-SCIAC honors in his rookie and sophomore seasons. 

Csaposs graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2021. He currently works for Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite program, Project Kuiper, where he does hardware engineering and tests for the camera module which takes satellite pictures.
