The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges Athenas placed fourth in the tighest-ever Division III Women's Cross Country National Championship, with
Natalie Bitetti finishing runner-up among 292 competitors.
Results
Bitetti clocked a 20:57.4 to finish behind only the fastest runner in DIII history and was followed by
Riley Capuano in 11th place,
Elle Marsyla in 27th,
Sara Wexler in 73rd and
Angela Gushue in 88th.
Chapman University's
Annika Carlson placed 39th as an individual with a 21:50 while teammate
Amelia Jauregui was 132nd (22:45.6).
Jenna LeNay of Occidental College placed 65th in 22:12.9 and the University of Redlands'
Chloe Bullock was 159th with a 22:53.6.
