NCAA Tournament: Tigers Reach the Round of 16

The Occidental College Tigers capitalized on an early man-up advantage to reach the Round of 16 in the NCAA Championship via a statement 4-1 victory over host Trinity (Texas) University in San Antonio.

Andrew Notter scored twice to put the Tigers ahead and a third goal just after halftime by the man who forced the 16th-minute red card, Marcus Chmielewski, all but put the game out of reach. A deflected free kick in the 55th minute gave Trinity a glimmer of hope, but Tyler Na-Nakornpanom snuffed it out with a fourth goal 10 minutes later.

Oxy will head to the Northeast next weekend to face No. 13 Amherst College.
