Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges defeated Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in a third match this season between the Sixth Street rivals, 4-0, to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.
Wins on the top two courts gave CMS the doubles point while the third was in a tiebreaker. SCIAC Newcomer of the Year
Ananya Sriniketh secured the first singles point with a 6-3, 6-1 win at #3 and was followed by
Rebecca Kong who did not drop a single game at #2 and
Leah Baroudi at #5, 6-2, 6-2.
