The victories extend what is now a four-year run for CMS as combined champions and three-year streak on the men's side while reclaiming the women's trophy after a one-year hiatus.
The Athenas recorded an eight-point margin of victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges with the bulk of the scoring for CMS (91 of 171.5 points). CMS secured titles in all four men's spring sports (baseball, golf, tennis, track & field) in addition to golf, tennis and track & field women's titles. Women's lacrosse and water polo also made the SCIAC Tournament in second and tied-second place, respectively.
The Sagehens finished runner-up in all three standings thanks to women's titles in lacrosse and water polo along with second-place finishes in baseball, men's and women's golf and men's and women's tennis.
The University of Redlands held its position in third place for a second consecutive year, finishing four points ahead of Chapman University. The Bulldogs earned one regular season title in softball while seven other teams ranked among the top four in the spring, while softball and women's track & field led the Panthers with runner-up finishes.
California Lutheran University clearly the century mark by a half-point for fifth place and five points clear of Occidental College. Women's water polo tying for second was the top finish for the Regals and men's golf paced the Kingsmen. Oxy's top point producer was men's golf tying for third place.
The University of La Verne kept ahead of Whittier College by 5.5 points and Caltech rounded out the standings just seven points shy of the Poets. Softball tying for third led both the Leopards and Poets while men's and women's tennis each placed fourth for the Beavers.
