Coleman won the 100-meter dash (10.86) and 200m (21.65) with the top times between both SCIAC Quad Cup qualifiers for the University of Redlands. The junior also placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.59 meters (21 feet, 5.5 inches) for an individual haul of 26 points.

Marquart contributed in all four throws for Pomona-Pitzer Colleges at the SCIAC Quad Cup qualifier, winning both the discus (16.55 meters) and shot put (44.22m), finishing runner-up in the javelin (51.99m) and placing fourth in the hammer (43.73m).
