Offensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Matthew Luk
School: Caltech
Year: Sophomore
Position/Number: Forward/#12

Luk had a hand in all three goals, bagging a brace including the eventual game-winning tally, on two shots in a 3-2 Caltech victory over Park (Arizona) University to begin the season. The 2024 SCIAC Newcomer of the Year opened the scoring in the eighth minute running onto a pinpoint cross from classmate Andrew Qin, then found Ishaan Mantripragada to regain the lead in the 56th and sealed the win on a 66th-minute set piece strike after earning a foul just outside the penalty box.

Name: Brady Bachman
School: Redlands
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Goalkeeper/#0
Hometown/High School: San Diego, Calif. / Cathedral
 
Bachman made 10 saves on a .769 percentage as the University of Redlands opened the season on the East Coast, with the Bulldogs finding themselves on either end of 2-1 decisions. The senior stopped the only two shots on frame in the victory over Rutgers University-Newark, which only scored via penalty, and made eight stops to stay in a tough 2-1 defeat at Swarthmore College that also included the tying goal coming on a rebound from a corner kick.
