Coppo won the 100-yard freestyle (53.07) in a quad meet with Caltech and Occidental College at the University of La Verne. The junior also recorded event wins in the 400 Medley Relay and 50 Breast (31.01) in addition to a runner-up finish in the 50 Fly (26.31).

Hometown/High School: Marshall, Mich. / Marshall
 
Brownell, who already owned the Whittier College 3-meter diving record, set a new 11-dive mark on the 1m in a dual meet against California Lutheran University. The junior earned a first career regional qualifying score with a 436.05.
