Kennedy (Peters) Meaney and the Regals volleyball team had a lot of success during her time from 2011-14. The team won a SCIAC Championship every year and was the National runner-up in 2013. She was First Team All-SCIAC in 2014 and the Cal Lutheran Female Scholar-Athlete in 2014-15. She was also a graduate assistant coach for the 2015 national championship team. She has come back three times to coach the CLU All-American camp which is a huge highlight of every summer!
She is currently in her eighth year of teaching in San Luis Obispo. She teaches PE at San Luis Obispo High School and her favorite courses to teach are Strength & Conditioning courses. She was inspired by experiences with the strength & conditioning program at CLU to earn my CSCS credential. She is also the head varsity women's volleyball coach at SLOHS. She has been coaching with the program for eight years, and five years as the head coach. The team was undefeated league champions the last two years in '21 and '22.
Cal Lutheran's head coach, Kellee Roesel, is a huge role model of hers. "I do my best to emulate many of her program philosophies in our SLOHS program," Meaney said. "I strive to create a culture that I was lucky enough to be a part of. I also implement many of her drills in practice."
