The No. 5 University of La Verne Leopards concluded their season in a 3-0 national title defeat to the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

After dropping behind early in the first set, the Leos - who rallied to defeat Oshkosh in one of their first matches of the season before spending the majority of the year ranked No. 1 in the nation while going undefeated into November - kept the second set much closer, though still fell behind 2-0. ULV then built up a lead in the third with another reverse sweep in mind, but were undone by attacking and service errors. Mya Ray led the squad with 16 kills while Zacky Coaston and Mariah Ray combined for seven blocks.
