Erika Rivera, a pitcher for the Sagehen softball team, helped the team earn back-to-back 20-win seasons for just the second time in program history. She had 10 starts during her junior season with four wins and three complete games with a 1.85 ERA before having her season cut short due to injury. She will return for her senior season In 2024 as one of the top pitchers in the Sagehen rotation.
 
Off the field, Rivera is a multi-time SCIAC All-Academic honoree earning a degree from Pitzer College in Psychology.  Rivera spent her summer interning at 826LA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills. Rivera was in charge of mentoring students in schools in the LA area and helped students develop ideas for their writing assignments and college essays as well as helping them with edits. Rivera is also in the process of putting together a book with some of the writing pieces that the students wrote and hopes to publish it soon.
