The Poets came away with a ranked win over #12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps this past week, in which Coop scored the match's lone goal on a header in 65th minute. The senior midfielder applied pressure the entire contest with three shots on goal before finding the back of the net.

In La Verne's two matches, Simonton registered six saves in each tilt to give the Leopards an undefeated start to conference play. La Verne opened the week with a 2-2 draw against Occidental, in which the Chino Hills, Calif., native faced 23 shots, before limiting Chapman to just one goal in a 2-1 victory.
