Ortiz scored both goals in Occidental's 2-0 victory over Kenyon on Sunday. Ortiz and the Tigers faced the previously unbeatten Kenyon, who had outscored opponents 13-1 through four prior games. The Victorville, Calif., native scored once in each half with the right foot, including a soaring bender over the outstretched arm of the keeper and leaping head of a defender in the first half.

Name: Gavin Arce

Hometown/High School: Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks H.S.

The Kingsmen finished the week with one win and a draw, in which Arce played a crucial role on the back line. The senior defender played the full 90 minutes against Colorado College in a 3-1 victory and helped limit the opponent to six shot on goal. Then, against No. 4 Emory, Arce and Cal Lutheran held the Eagles to just three shots on goal and six shots total.
