CMS Women’s Track & Field Places Sixth in Nation

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges women’s outdoor track & field placed sixth in the nation at the 2026 NCAA Championship while Caltech posted the top SCIAC finish on the men’s side in a tie for 41st place.
 
The Athenas scored 27 points between Josephine Jett and Elle Marsyla, who each scored in two events as Marsyla won the 10,000-meter title on opening night and closed the meet with a runner-up finish in the 5k while Jett was runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles and nabbed one point in the 100m. On the men’s side Luke Lamitina placed fourth in the javelin throw to net five points for Caltech ahead of three points for CMS from Kavin Prasanna in the hammer throw and one from Jude Holling in the 400h for Redlands.
