Waters was pivotal in the series-clinching game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, smashing a two-run homer in the sixth inning to pull within one run, then drawing a hit-by-pitch RBI to set up a bases-loaded walk-off single. The junior reached base three times in the first game of the doubleheader which helped California Lutheran University to sweep the day.

Springer contributed in both wins as Pomona-Pitzer Colleges took the series from No. 15 Chapman University. The junior kicked off the weekend with a complete-game 2-0 shutout having allowed just four hits, a hit batter and two walks before shutting the door in a 4-2 win the next day with just one hit allowed.
