Whittier College starting pitcher Carter Calkin has been named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week.

Calkin delivered the best performance of his career, coming one-hit away from notching a seven-inning no-hitter against Occidental in a game that ended via mercy rule (12-0). Calkin struck out five while walking just one, and the quality start victory gave the Poets their fourth consecutive SCIAC series victory to finish out the 2026 conference slate.

Calkin joins 13 previous honorees this year including:
