The Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Sagehens defeated Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, 15-10, to win a fifth straight USA Water Polo Division III National Championship title.

The visitors jumped out to a 3-1 start in the first quarter and tacked on another three-goal edge in the second to lead 8-3 at halftime, after which the Sixth Street rivals traded goals through to the conclusion. Brienz Lang led the ruthlessly efficient Sagehens with four goals while Katie Hugar and Lisbon Zeigler also netted hat tricks, with Mia Amberger dishing out four assists. Isabella Dova made nine saves for a .563 save percentage playing the majority of the game in net. Grace Clark led the Athenas with four goals and two assists while Valerie Wraith added three assists.
