Maloney evened the series for No. 9 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges against the University of La Verne with a seven-inning complete game, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning. The rookie struck out seven and allowed just one earned run on a walk and back-to-back two-out singles before getting the final out.
