Sagehens Place Eighth, Athenas 10th at NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges finished in eighth place and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges placed 10th as the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship concluded on Saturday night.

Nina Aballea led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking a 50.04, as well as contributing on the third-place 400 Free Relay along with Ellie Burkhardt, Chesna Pelka and Francesca Coppo. Burkhardt also scored in 16th place in the 100 Free. Katy Shaw finished in 12th for CMS in the 1650 Free, with the 400 Free Relay quartet of Sun Young Byun, Mackenzie Mayfield, Avalon Sanders and Madeleine Kan placing 12th.
 
The Sagehens totaled 173 points while the Athenas accumulated 138.
