Bigara led Division III No. 6 Whittier College to a 3-2 record in a busy week that included a tri-match sweep of Cypress College, Mt. San Antonio College and Grossmont College. The 2024 SCIAC Newcomer of the Year totaled 13 goals with 12 drawn exclusions.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Jake Taylor
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Goalkeeper / #1
Hometown/High School: Menlo Park, Calif. / Menlo-Atherton
 
Taylor made 10 saves and nabbed a team-high four steals as Division III No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges defeated RV Harvard University, 12-11. The senior blocked a late shot that rebounded out of play for a corner before killing the Crimson possession with a steal to set up the game-winning buzzer-beater from Gavin Netherton.
