Whitfield tallied nine goals and dished out seven assists for Division III No. 2 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges across five games, including a 16-12 win over No. 4 University of Redlands that could prove crucial for postseason seeding. The junior scored at a .429 rate and made a whopping 15 steals on the defensive end of the pool.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week
Name: Jack Schroeder
School: Occidental
Year: Senior
Position/Number: Goalkeeper / #1
Hometown/High School: Elmhurst, Ill. / York Community
 
Schroeder was clutch in goal as DIII No. 7 Occidental College notched key wins over No. 6 Whittier College and RV University of La Verne to solidify the Tigers’ position among the top half of the conference. The senior recorded a career-high 20 saves in the 15-12 overtime win against the Poets and made another nine in a 14-11 decision away to the Leopards.
