Caltech Women's Soccer has named Scott Wilson the new Head Coach of the program
"It's a privilege to be named Head Coach for the Caltech Women's Soccer Program," Wilson Said. "I can't wait to work with an amazing group of young women in building on the previous successes of the program."
Wilson has spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach for the Beavers. Last season, the program increased its win total by three games and its conference win total by two games. He began his Caltech coaching career as a volunteer assistant for the men's soccer program.
The Beavers have broken multiple program records during Wilson's tenure as assistant coach, mostly on the offensive side of the slate. Jennifer Solgaard set the program record for assists in a season in each of Wilson's two seasons with Caltech so far. She also set the career goals program record with her 15th last season. Also in 2024, sophomore Marie Choi-Schattle (Barrington R.I. / Barrington) tied Solgaard's 2022 mark for most goals in a season by a Beaver (7).
As a team, the Beavers have increased their goal total by at least three goals in each of Wilson's two seasons at the Insititute.
"It's been great to be a part of the growth of this program as an assistant, and that gives me even more excitement to further that growth in my new role as Head Coach," Wilson said.
Caltech Women's Soccer will see a large number of returning players in 2025-26, providing the squad with familiar leadership as Wilson takes the helm. Keep an eye out for a 2025-26 season schedule.
