Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges junior
Advik Mareedu has been named the SCIAC Athlete of the Year for a third time atop the 2025 Men’s Tennis All-Conference Teams.
Mareedu once again posted an unblemished singles record in conference play and has not lost a Division III match all year playing atop the lineup for the No. 1 Stags. The junior has also teamed with
Josh Kim to rank second in the ITA West region for doubles.
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges’
Drew Goldman was named Newcomer of the Year as the Sagehens’ top singles and doubles player. The rookie ranks second in the region in singles and first in doubles with partner
Jayanth Mallampati.
Ethan Lee merited the Character Award, given to a senior who best exemplifies success on the court, in the classroom and with involvement in community and school service. A great leader and mentor in the program for the past four years, Lee took over as Director of the Aces for Autism program as a senior and has continued to exhibit some of the best competitiveness and sportsmanship the Sagehen program has seen.
Coaching Staff of the Year recognition went to
Paul Settles and the champion Stags, who secured a 19
th consecutive regular season title. CMS dropped just three points across seven conference matches, all of which came in the regular season finale at Pomona-Pitzer after a run of six 7-0 decisions.
CMS led all teams with three First Team and five total players recognized. Pomona-Pitzer landed three total selections while Caltech, Chapman University and the University of Redlands each received two nods. Chapman’s
Caleb Wilkins and CMS’
Matthew Robinson became four-time First Team selections, with Wilkins also making the 2021 All-SCIAC team as one of two participating teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lee repeated as a First Team choice while Caltech’s
Constantin Cedillo-Vayson de Pradenne and Redlands duo
Dominic Anderson and
Gustavo Marcanth each made the step up from the Second Team. Oxy’s
Ace Andres and
Brett Miller each repeated on the Second Team, as did California Lutheran University’s
Ethan Sherwood.
