The top-seeded Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Sagehens defender their home pool for a fourth consecutive SCIAC Women's Water Polo Tournament crown with a 12-7 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

The Sagehens held a narrow 4-3 edge after the first quarter and steadily extended the lead by another goal in each of the next two quarters before closing out the win. Pomona-Pitzer converted 5-of-9 extraman opportunities to a 4-of-11 mark for CMS.

Paityn Richardson led the hosts with four goals while
Kaylee Stigar chipped in two goals and two assists.
Zosia Amberger made six saves and two steals over 28 minutes in the cage.
Both teams will advance to next weekend's USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate National Championship in Rock Island, Ill.
