The Pomona-Pitzer Colleges 200-yard Freestyle Relay finished runner-up in a new SCIAC record time to bump the Sagehens up one spot into eighth place through Day Two of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship.

Francesca Coppo led off a quartet that also included

Chesna Pelka and SCIAC Athlete of the Year
Valerie Mello, clocking a 1:31.48 to beat out their own record set last year by just .06. The 34 -point haul improved Pomona-Pitzer’s two-day total to 66 points, which is good for eighth place.
Sun Young Byun led three scorers for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in the 100 Fly, placing sixth in 54.78 while
Madeleine Kan and
Mackenzie Mayfield finished 13
th and 14
th to keep CMS among the top 15 in the team standings at 13
th overall.
Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson got Chapman University on the board with a 16
th-place finish in the 100 Fly as well.
