Heberle continued a strong start to the season with a pair of 20-point games in double-digit Chapman University victories to open SCIAC play against No. 5 University of Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. The senior averaged 23.5 points per game on 52 percent shooting, including a 6-for-15 mark from long range while grabbing eight rebounds in each game and dishing out three assists with three steals and a block.

Kennedy averaged 10.5 rebounds to go with two steals and a block in two double-digit victories for RV Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, which opened SCIAC play 2-0 against the Unievrsity of La Verne and Whittier College. The junior recorded a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds along with five assists and a steal at Whittier while allowing just 10 points in the paint.
