NCAA Regional: Sagehens Dominate to Qualify for NCAA Championship

The Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Sagehens beat out Colorado College, 43-73, to qualify for the NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship on a rainy Saturday morning in Claremont.

Results

Jack Stein and Jefferson Wright both snuck under the 25:00 minute mark to place second and third, respectively. Hayden Beauchemin finished in fifth for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, which placed third in a strong field to put themselves in position for NCAA selection as an at-large team. Stian Asper (University of Redlands) and Jack Elfenbaum (Occidental College) can be assured of NCAA invitations as top-seven inidividual finishers from non-qualifying teams after placing ninth and 13th, respectively, as the top three squads accounted for half of the first 12 runners to finish.
