Sagehens Claim Fourth Straight SCIAC Women's Soccer Tournament Crown

Taylor Marshall looped in a 40-yard free kick for a spectacular game-winning goal as No. 18 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges defeated top-seeded California Lutheran University in a battle of undefeated teams to win a fourth straight SCIAC Women's Soccer Tournament crown.

Both teams had their share of big chances throughout the game, but it was the Sagehens' go-ahead goal in the 39th minute proved the difference as both defenses held firm from open play, with Pomona-Pitzer's Patricia DePalma making four saves in the shutout and defender Spencer Deutz earning Most Outstanding Player honors for the tournament.
