Bailey scored a last-gasp goal to make the difference in a 2-1 victory for No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges at California Lutheran University. The junior generated three shots with two on goal in each game as the Sagehens also drew with Occidental College to open SCIAC play with four points.

Rodriguez stopped seven shots over 135:00 minutes in goal for Occidental College as the Tigers notched a shutout victory over the University of La Verne and drew, 1-1, at No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. Six of those saves came against the reigning SCIAC champion Sagehens, who only equalized in the 85th minute.
