Ellery Koelker-Wolfe, who was a member of the CMS women’s basketball team and graduated from Claremont McKenna in 2019 with a perfect 4.0 GPA in biochemistry, earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year as she pursues a degree from Harvard Medical School.
Koelker-Wolfe played for the Athenas for four seasons from 2015-19, helping her teams to four straight SCIAC regular season titles. CMS compiled a 58-6 league record during her four seasons, while also advancing in the NCAA Tournament twice with wins over Trinity and Texas-Dallas.
During her career, Koelker-Wolfe was named to the SCIAC All-Academic Team four times, and was a SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipient as a senior, when she started every game for CMS. She finished her Athena career with 98 games played (including 41 starts), 315 points, 307 rebounds and 100 assists.
Koelker-Wolfe, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, has served on the student council at Harvard Medical School as the Castle Society representative. While at CMS, she worked as a research assistant at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, working on CAR T-cell therapy for cancer treatment. Her senior thesis at Claremont McKenna was titled "On the right TRAC: Using CRISPR-Cas9 to engineer iPSCs for an off-the-shelf CAR T-cell therapy."
