Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges fell to Whitman College, 70-54, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

Whitman jumped out to a 15-9 lead through the first quarter and sealed the game with a 10-point advantage in the fourth. Caleigh Edwards led the Athenas with 12 points Laura Strenk hit a trio of three-pointers .
